Comfy Lounge Wear from Old Navy

Tim says I am constantly blogging about stuff I've bought. So what I like to shop okay!!! And I like to share great deals and finds.

Well this weekend I had a friends and family coupon for 30% off at Banana, Gap and Old Navy. It just couldn't go to waste now could it? I picked up some basic items at Gap and Old Navy such as khakis and jeans (I've lost weight from all my spinning!:) and neutral colored knit tops that those stores are great for. I have recently started liking Gap again, but have still been on the outs with Old Navy. Every time I have gone in there for the past year or so all I have seen is cheap crap. But I gave it another chance and was pleasantly surprised. I found lots of great cozy lounge wear that was super cheap, such as...

Flannel PJ bottoms.
So many cute patterns and only $12.

My BB Rachel always used to wear fluffy socks to bed, so when I saw tons at Old Navy for just $5 a pair I picked up a couple. I slept in them Saturday night and absolutely loved them. How have I survived all these winters without this cozy little luxury?! I went back on Sunday and bought a few more pairs. (I know I think I might have a shopping problem, but the coupon remember?!)

And I got these lime green knit slippers - I can't wait to be wearing them on Christmas morning when my parents give me my cavalier puppy!
Gray sweater "Adoraboots" boots - Love em! And 1/15th of the price of Uggs.

If there's a cozier dressed girl in Atlanta, I'd like to meet her!

Oh and I got this fun key chain for a change a pace.

On a note sort of related to lounge wear, I caught up on the new season of Desperate Housewives over the weekend (Thanks to Hulu) and am officially hooked again. (You know because I have to be comfy while I watch my shows) Vanessa Williams is on it now and she is perfect for the show. I never get bored of all the ridiculous drama!

Relax! Don't do it, When you want to go to it

Um yes I just Googled "relax song lyrics".

As I'm sure you gathered from my previous post, I needed a weekend to unwind. And thankfully I got to do just that. Too bad Monday mornings come so quickly. But I got to do some of my fav relaxing things this past weekend...

Had my first pumpkin spiced latte of the season, from Panera but just as delish as Sbux.

Got in some much needed cuddle time with Annie. This is the only pic we have of her with her tongue out like a real dog. Like a National Geographic photographer crouched in the wild, Chris captured this rare and fleeting moment.

Hit up Forever 21 and picked up a few essential fall items such as this sweater dress that I'll be sporting one day this week

And these jeggings that I'm already wearing today.

Ate some comfort food at Cracker Barrel- Is there anything better than their biscuits and gravy? Hey I got a grilled chicken salad as my entree and attended 2 spin classes over the weekend, otherwise I wouldn't be able to fit into my new jeggings.

In between a Sunday afternoon nap on my couch (Heaven), I finished book 2 of the Nora Roberts Bed of Roses series. Chelsea/Sarah/Caris/and any other girls who love to read - These books are so good! They're about a group of 4 friends who run a wedding planning business on an estate in Conn. where they all live. Each book focuses on a different girl. My favorite thing about them (the 2 I've read) is the world Roberts created. And each girl has a different role in the business - one is a photographer, a florist, a baker/pastry chef and one the detail oriented no nonsense mastermind, and the author really did her research on each of their jobs, and of course there's no shortage of romance drama. I found out about them through my BB Rachel, who stumbled across book 1 at Target.

While cleaning on Sunday I popped in my VHS of Clueless. I used to be obsessed with that movie and still am.

"Okay, so you're probably going, 'Is this like a Noxzema commercial or what?' But seriously, I actually have a way normal life for a teenage girl."

Last night indulged in another specialty drink, Starbucks' salted caramel hot chocolate. OMG. It was amazing and worth every calorie (I got mine with skim milk. I always feel like I'm ordering a big mac with a diet coke when I do that). It tasted like the new pretzel M&Ms in liquid form. If you need a mid afternoon Monday pick me up, this should do the trick!

Things of Thursday

MTV's Teen Mom = Complete train wreck. And I know by continuing to watch it and then blog about it is only contributing to its sad factor. I never really understood the appeal but after catching part of an episode here and there I did find it to be pretty fascinating. It's like an unglamorous reality TV version of the movie Juno.

Yesterday the Today show featured "sweet" Amber, one of the teen moms (in the pic). The show has filmed her multiple times beating up on the baby daddy while the baby was in the same room. Child Protective Services is now involved and have launched an investigation because of those scenes. Isn't that crazy?! I agree with Matt Lauer (I'll never understand why Tim hates him), how could the MTV camera crew just stand there filming and not do a thing to stop the chaos? This isn't a screaming match between Lauren and Heidi in an LA nightclub on The Hills. I just feel so sorry for these innocent children and hope the show's popularity will enable the parents to get help they may not could have otherwise received, and not fall into the Jon and Kate quest for more fame and $. Yeah I'm definitely trying to say something redeeming to justify my watching it.

From one of my fav topics, pop culture, to another, delish food. Strawberries and cream scone from Panera consumed this morning (Hey I shared). I highly recommend getting a My Panera card. It's free and when you get a certain amount of points you get free stuff. I'd only used it a couple times and then I got a free pastry. Yay!

I LOVE this repurposed printer drawer jewelry hanger on Etsy. Just what I need for my habit of chronically buying earrings from Forever 21.

And this calendar on Etsy. I don't even want to post the link because I hope someone in my family buys it for me for Christmas - There's not many! (I emailed them the link this morning) Haha yeah I'm flattering myself, like my hundreds of blog followers are going to rush to buy it as soon as I post the link. Oh and my friend Allison wants the jewelry hanger so don't buy that either.

I need jeggings, STAT! I can't tell you how many mornings have been spent wrestling to get my jeans perfectly tucked into my boots, never really getting them perfect and running out the door sweating and frazzled. These are from JCrew.

This bedroom is my happy place. Before and after pics on DesignSponge. And here's decor inspired by apple picking, so cute!

Tuesday Randomness

Bought this cute striped top on sale at Anthro today. Perfect for fall in Atlanta.

I'm in the market for some new effortless comfy boots. My Uggs are worn out and my Target ones I bought last year have seen their best days. Debating if I want to go with another classic pair of Uggs -
Or something like these Minnetonka shearling-lined boots from JCrew. I will keep you posted on this up most important decision.

I'm also in the market for some spinning shoes. A friend of mine who has taken spinning classes for years just got some and said they really do make all the difference. Since I try to attend as many spin classes as I can a week I think they'd definitely be worth it. I have absolutely no clue though how to go about getting a good yet inexpensive pair, what brand to buy, etc. Anyone have any recommendations? This pic of Megan Fox makes me really wish I was a celebrity. Because of the tiger, not Brian Austin Green.

While I was waiting on my friend to get her soy latte at Starbucks today in the mall, I mosied over to the Godiva store to admire the deliciousness (and I'll admit, hoping there'd be free samples). They have so many amazing things for fall and Halloween, like these pumpkin patch truffles. Filled with "creamy pumpkin-spice ganache and enrobed in milk chocolate." Um I'll take 50 of them please.

Out one month from today:

Hookahs, Dog Photo Shoots and Flea Market Finds

Dinner, drinks and hookahs Saturday night at Mediterranean restaurant Cafe Istanbul with my friend and fellow small grouper Chrissy, her boyfriend and his friend. It was quite the experience - Belly dancing, fun cocktails, sat on the floor atop big pillows and ate huge dishes of chicken, veggies and humus that could hardly be seen in the dim lighting. It was fun for a one time experience, just take a shower after if you go.

Really attractive pics of Chrissy and I smoking our peach and watermelon flavored hookahs -

I accidentally did it one time without the clear safety mouth piece. ICK big time. Chrissy said that they probably rinse them but I doubt it :( My mom said that you just have to hope for the best and pray when stuff like that happens.

We were trying to capture the smoke.

Serious hookah user

Had so much fun with sweet Freddy! Perfect fall weather all weekend. He is seriously the best dog ever. So tiny, quiet, obedient and loves to cuddle. Like Annie you don't even need to put a leash on him outside. Unlike Annie he loves to go on walks.

Freddy did not leave my side all weekend. Even when I went for a 30 minute jog at my parents in Roswell my mom said he sat by the front door the whole time. And when I dropped him off at Lauren's apartment he ran under the bed and refused to come say goodbye. Lauren said he's doing much better today due to some salmon and lots of attention.

Cousins!

Love my Annie Baby. I hadn't gotten to spend any time with her for awhile.

He was trying to climb over my shoulder.

Please look at Freddy - He's just a wittle baby!

I think his leg was caught in Annie's fur.

See how Annie's eyes are getting milkier looking. The vet says it's normal. She's just getting older :(

Bichon figurine at a downtown Roswell flea market. Tim this is going to go on your nightstand when you visit.

I bought this vintagey looking bottle for just $6.

Things of Thursday

Current Obsession: eBay. Now I've been obsessed with checking and buying items on eBay many times before but I haven't used it since buying Tim a vintage camera two Christmas's ago. I was reading a friend of a friend's blog the other day that said she buys all of her makeup brand new and substantially discounted with free shipping on eBay. I use Benefit's lemon aid for my eye's dark circles everyday and found some for just $10.99. Retails for $20. I bought it from a top rated seller that said it's brand new and still in the box. So if this works out I'm going to buy all my makeup on eBay from now on.
And some of Opi's fall colors, love this one - "Over the Taupe"

Tim sent me this picture of Jake today. Seriously is he not the world's handsomest dog? This looks like it was taken on a photo shoot.

Am I ever going to get tired of taking pictures of my yogurt? Probably not. Yoforia after work /pre small group earlier this week.

I've decided what I'm going to be for Halloween! Ariel from The Little Mermaid. A non slutty version of course. I bought a shell bra off eBay (yep, obsessed) that I'm going to wear over a purple top and I'm borrowing a green sparkly skirt from a coworker. And then of course lots of fun accessories, like that seaweed garland. But no wig needed!

We had a fire drill at my office this morning which gave my coworker Kimmy and I the perfect excuse for a Starbucks and Anthropologie run. We loved this horse that is actually for sale, you don't even want to know for how much.

So I'm trying this new thing where I'm not shopping for myself right now, attempting to save up for the quickly approaching holidays. I hadn't been in Anthro for awhile which always makes it more torturesome to have such cute new things dangled in front of me that I can't have. I know you feel so sorry for me. Here 's some of the things I REALLY wanted but refrained from buying -

*Measuring bowls*

*Key hook (I'm obsessed with keys right now)*

* New Voluspa fall scented candles*

*Have you ever seen a cuter doorstop? And I really do need one, there's a huge vent in the hallway outside my condo's front door and I like to prop open my door to let in the heat or air conditioning, so it actually would have been a very economical purchase.*

*My one purchase was this super comfy headband that was on sale. Kimmy told me I was allowed to buy one thing.*
