Since she's my mom and all I knew she'd like it ;-) It's supposed to be an abstract beach.
I love painting and don't take the time to do it nearly as much as I'd like. Not that I'm so great but I just find it be so therapeutic. Really the only time I ever even attempt it is on weekends or if I'm trying to get something done for someone. But I definitely have to make a conscious effort to do relaxing activities on weekends that aren't just vegging out in front of the TV or napping. Yesterday was my kind of Saturday - spin class, a little cleaning and laundry, cuddles with Freddy, pool with Hayley, a nice nap, some reading throughout the day and then out to Little 5 Points for drinks and some improv comedy. My friend Allison and I decided weekends are MUCH to short, just as soon as you wind down Monday morning makes sure to put an end to that.
Speaking of the beach, can I go back please? The beach in mornings and evenings is the ultimate therapy if you ask me.
