30 before 30

I've been mentally compiling a bucket list for years, I ran across someone's on a blog today and thought I'd go ahead and write all mine down, too. I was surprised at how fast everything came to me, I guess I want a lot of stuff, haha. So here is what it is -

Definition of a bucket list: a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime

Want to accomplish my list by: August 31, 2014, eek!

I'm going to put this list in the left column and regularly update it, so feel free to hold me accountable on how I'm doing :-)

1. Go sky diving (We’ll start with a cliché ;) But I really have been wanting to go and have heard it's super fun.

2. Run a full marathon in a major city.

3. Become a better, okay learn, how to cook; Take a cooking class.

4. Eat mostly organic and go an extended time without eating any sugar, get to a point where sugar/candy/junk food isn't like crack to me.

5. Use my AmeriCorps stipend towards grad school since it will be expired by then.

6. Get certified to teach indoor cycling classes.

7. Travel to Europe, I really want to go to Italy and France. Allison and I have been discussing going backpacking…!

8. Master the practice of mindful meditation in my day to day life.

9. Get a dog and she is going to be a cavalier named Rosie.

10. Own a Louis purse and a pair of Louboutins.

11. Get new appliances for my kitchen.

12. Learn how to do my own taxes and all that fun adult stuff my dad helps me with now (ok fine he pretty much does it for me).

13. Hike Stone Mountain.

14. Take a photography class and buy a real, legit camera (I love my Nikon Coolpix tho!)

15. Attend a Hawks and Falcons game, I’ve yet to as an Atlanta resident.

16. Go parasailing.

17. Stay in a hostel in Asheville with Sarah, she said there's a really nice one and if I’m going to ever stay in one that will be the one!

18. See a celebrity in Atlanta.

19. Write more (blogging and journaling doesn't count) and make progress towards writing a book.

20. Get to an intermediate level at yoga; To not feel like I want to die at hot yoga.

21. Visit Chris in NYC.

22. Get a MacBook Pro laptop.

23. Visit a state I've never been to, which is pretty much the whole Midwest.

24. Be at my healthiest weight, would like to be at a stable 125 lbs, I am constantly fluctuating.

25. Grow and move forward within my company.

26. Take superb care of my skin, find a daily lotion that has spf in it that doesn’t smell like sunblock. Aveeno is the best I’ve found and it still smells like sunblock so I constantly skip putting it on. With my pale, freckled skin it is essential that I have spf coverage every day. My pastor, Andy Stanley, said in one of his sermons that if we don’t take care of our health now that is like saying to our children “I’m not taking care of myself now so you’re going to have to later.” K thanks.

27. Give Zumba classes a shot.

28. Go on a mission trip.

29. Walk in the Atlanta 3-Day with the Harlem Boob Trotters :-)

30. Buy some classic, investment furniture pieces – A couch, small recliner and kitchen table and chairs.
