I miss you, beach!

So Devon, Allison, and I went on a 36 hour road trip to Jacksonville, FLA this past weekend. Here's what we did:

2:00 Saturday: Left Atlanta straight from our coworker Molly's shower that Dawn and Courtney threw her.

Sometime between 3-7:00ish: We drove through a tsunami and thought we were going to die.

8:00ish: Arrived in Jacksonville for a Third Eye Blind concert. Yeah I know random but Devon is obsessed (putting it mildly) with them and it actually was a really fun concert. It's been 5 and a half years since their last album and they're putting out a new one in the fall.

9:30: Concert started. Third Eye Blind brings out quite a mix of people...

11:00ish: Cue the stalking...

12:00 AM: After much aimless wandering in the cold rain in downtown Jacksonville, talking to security, and getting a tip as to where the band was going for a drink, Devon got to meet the lead singer, Stephan Jenkins, and she got guitar pics (which are now framed along with the concert ticket on her desk). This is her right after:

3:00 AM: We stayed at a friend of Allison's mom's house. I was sound asleep until the loudest thunderstorm I have ever heard woke me up. The room I stayed in had these marionette doll things sitting around and it was soooo creepy when the lightening lit them up, but I was too tired to care.

12:00 PM Sunday: On the beach!!! And the weather was AMAZING.


4:00 PM: We stopped at Barbara Jeans for some seafood and of course I ate way too much. But it was worth it - pumpkin and corn bread, crab cake, cheese grits, fried okra, and "chocolate stuff" (that's what it was called). You can imagine how much fun I was to ride in the car with for five hours afterwards.

10:30 PM: Exhausted, sandy, and back in Atlanta! Road trip successful!
